RESOURCE & TOY LENDING LIBRARY

Through the generous donations of clients, parents, and local organizations, the Peak Potential Therapy Resource and Toy Lending Library has acquired hundreds of books, toys, and resource items. These resources include textbooks, resource guides, therapy materials, books, video, and audio tapes and are meant for both families and professionals affected by children with Special Needs.

Our Toy Lending Library offers educational and sensory toys for children with special needs. It is a unique program that lends a growing collection of toys to families who have children with special needs or who are at risk of developmental delays. Educational and therapy toys are available with special adaptations available as needed. There is an annual membership fee to participate.

Autism Resource Lending Library

Resource Library

The Resource Library provides updated information on research and resources available in Cleveland / Akron Ohio. We have an excellent selection of printed materials, publications, books and videos on topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, and Special Needs in our lending library, an ideal setting for parents, professionals, and students who want to learn more about these disorders and available resources.

Guidelines

Members in good standing can check out a maximum of 2 resources at any one time, which may be checked out by completing an information card. Check out time is four weeks; however, materials may be renewed upon request. The easiest way to borrow from the library is at our monthly Parent Support Meeting, which makes it easy to return it at the next Parent Support Meeting. You will be asked to provide a $20 deposit in case the resource is lost or is returned in a state of disrepair. Your deposit will be returned to you when the resource is returned.

Special Needs Toy Lending Library

Donations

Donations to our library are most welcome! If you have books or toys that would be of value to other parents and don't know what to do with them, please consider donating to our lending library! It can be a book you are done reading to a cash donation. We are always seeking donations for our Resource and Toy Lending Library in order to support and help local parents.
